Hello. We are a group visiting in November and interested in the tour. Where can I find the details if the tour. We will only be there for 3days.

The tour is focused on the Portuguese slavery and colonial history. We try to revisit the city and its streets where the African historical presence is ignored. We mix history with culture and gastronomy, having some lunch in an African restaurant. We also also visit the African neighbourhood where we try some snacks. The tour lasts 5hrs and we usually start in the afternoon. In November, we will surely start at 2pm.
We do not offer tour on Sundays but can arrange for the other according to the weather. November is a bit rainy, hopefully it won’t be the case on your dates.

Good morning! I am interested in your tour for either today (June 11th) or tomorrow (June 12). How can I get more details where to meet up etc? Is it possible to pay in cash? I’m staying on R. António Pedro 1000-032 .
For those considering whether or not to book a tour, let me just say:
I had an incredible experience and I highly recommend it to everyone, regardless of where you are from or what kind of background you may have on the subject matter. Naky is an exceptionally thoughtful and generous guide, and he brings together historical narratives and the sights, sounds, and tastes of contemporary Afro-Lisbon in a way that is engaging for history buffs and casual travelers alike. In my tour group, for example, there were academic historians as well as total non-specialists, and everyone felt comfortable participating in the conversations. I was especially fascinated by the way in which Naky eschewed chronological order and wove together stories about enslaved Africans from the 16th century, anti-colonial leaders active in the 1970s, and contemporary migrants, anti-gentrification activists, and nightclub-goers. Then of course there’s the food—we tasted dried fruits and hibiscus juice at a Senegalese market and delicious dishes at a Cape Verdean restaurant. This tour is a must-do Lisbon experience!
